Compared to other media, glass beads will last longer and have less damage. These beads are made from non-alkaline soda- lime glass, which means they're chemically stable and won't pollute the material being processed. The high- pressure bead blasting process can increase the speed of cleaning and maintain the finish quality of the original object. And because glass beads are very slippery, it's very hard to leave a watermark after the process. Unlike other blasting media, glass beads are non-cuttable and cannot be cut or shaped. Instead, they burnish and polish parts more effectively. Because they are softer than steel shot and coal slag, they do not leave a profile behind.
